Christmas Nails!

Step 1. Paint your initial color, red.
For a basic plain red (as in picture) I would suggest Revlon 120 Red Carpet
For a more sparkly festive red I would suggest essie leading lady
Paint 2-3 coats and wait until dry!

Step 2. Use some scotch tape to make a triangle shape!
Scotch tape is best because is most likely wont rip of the already painted nail polish!

Step 3. Take some floss! Yes, floss. And make your unique design for your tree!
Feel free to go all out here the picture is just an example!

Step 4. Paint it green!
Best part is you can get messy without being messy here!

Step 5. Carefully remove the tape to unravel your awesome tree!
Step 6. Decorate!
Salon Perfect nail art polishes come in handy this part,
if you don't have any nail art, break out your silver and
gold polishes an tooth pick to use a dotter!

Unboxing Birchbox

I recently received my August Birchbox!! Without further ado the unboxing!

The box is the original yay! For a brief time they changed it and now back to the original.

First of course their theme! This is one of my favorite parts of birchbox. Each box has a theme depending on the time of the year, what is happening in the world, new tv series etc. This months theme was 'Finishing School'. My first impression was there must be finishing spray or products to perfect a look. On this page it talks of having a bold lip for confidence and such so I then figured must be lip stick. Only to my surprise...

Pretty set up so let's dive right in.

I first opened this little container to find Coola sunscreen and Dr Jart+ bb cream. I think the sunscreen is a sample size and I feel like I could get that for free anywhere. The bb cream I was not too excited about because it has SPF 45 and I am not a fan of SPF in my foundations. I actually tried this bb cream and I would not buy it. The only reason I really did not enjoy this is the coverage was too much. I am used to using sheer-medium and this is high-extreme, if you ask me. However if you like high coverage maybe you might like this product.

Next is uniqONE leave in hair mask. I very recently tried this product, and have mixed feelings.
The smell could have been better and it was a lotion consistency and felt greasy. My hair usually is very frizzy and I think it may have helped somewhat, although it felt greasy out of my hair, in my hair it actually helped! It made straightening and curly way easier. Over all I liked this product but please uniqONE, fix the smell bleh.

Next product was a bit odd, Jasmine Seven Fresh Feet Wipes. This although a bit odd I actually like. I am weird about keeping my feet clean, I can get them dirty but at home they must be clean (no judgments). Birchbox gives you 2 wipes and they are full size. On the back the maker talks about walking in the city with flip flops and wanting to clean them back at your apartment, a bit weird.

THis product was actually the first thing I saw, however waited to pick it up last. Guilty enough this color is on my fingers right now. It is inspired by four of birchbox's favorite cites and is called 'Reign in Spain'. Although I love this product, it is from the June Wanderlust box, disapointing. Still a gorgeous color, summery, but gorgeous.

And Finally there was an Ann Taylor trend look. I am going to do some looks based off of this for fun, look out for that!! I hope you enjoyed this! Comment below what you thought and if you have a birchbox or glam bag and what you got!

3 Ways to Soften a Makeup Look

Sometimes, with a harsh smokey eye, a bold lip, or a dramatic cat eye it can overpower your face and that is the last thing you want from your makeup! These are the top 3 ways to soften your makeup look!

3. Blush
Blush can sometimes overtake your face, make you look sickly, or work against your makeup look. While this picture is an exaggeration, the sad truth is it happens. To soften this look is simple. Remember that pesky foundation that stays on your brush after application don't wipe it off just yet. After applying blush pat the foundation over your existing blush. The blush is still visible, however it looks like a layer of skin between you and the blush making it a more natural look.

2. Bronzer
If you don't already use bronzer it is a great option. Sometimes foundation can be overbearing and foundation can bring the sun kissed glow back, if you apply it correctly that is. Above the brown areas are where you apply. It is basically used for the frame of your face. Think of it as adding some dark to the areas that sun naturally would hit you.

3.Eyeliner
This can soften your look immensely. When you use blackest black eyeliner, a thick line, or a dramatic cat eye you may need a softer touch. Using a black eye shadow and a defining brush to set your eyeliner for a softer feel. Another way is to Take a white eye shadow or eyeliner and place it at the bottom outer corner of your eye to brighten and again add a softer look.

I hope you enjoy this. I thought this was necessary as many people are beginning to get back into fall makeup these are ways to soften your looks and ease into fall.

Revlon Photoready Airbrush Foundation Review

I tried this product as soon as I saw it, Revlon has always made some really good products, for a drugstore that is. What shocked me is that there was finally an affordable airbrush foundation it seemed unreal. It was unreal. I tried this product the very next day using their perfecting primer, which worked really well, and then I proceeded to try the foundation. Airbrush foundation is a completely different formula than the average liquid foundation, powders, or even chubby sticks. Airbrush foundation is a watery substance that makes the coverage picture perfect. Hence, the name photoready. What also struck me was that this foundation did not have a small medal ball inside, used for shaking the product, as most all airbrush foundations have. So many things did not seem right, and then I tried it. The smell was incredibly gross, the application was odd, it came out like moose and I do not see how you could manage to put this foundation in an airbrush if you tried. The consistency was awkward, so many wrong things. I applied with a foundation brush of course. I then looked at my hand where I had sprayed err got the foundation out of the bottle, it was sparkly. I was about to throw a fit, drug store makeup don't seem to understand anything. I do not want my makeup to smell, and definitely do NOT want my 'natural' makeup looks to have sparkles, completely ruins the effect. So definitely will not buy this product again, and now I am completely in dire need to pursue to find an amazing foundation. Fingers crossed. Tell me what you thought if you have tried this product, do you agree, disagree, comment below!

Daily Adventure 2

Aug 14-

Hey guies! So today I woke up and flat out decided to go to Philadelphia. Summer is going to end soon! I needed a day trip. It was super fun! Just another daily adventure from Candice. My makeup was super simple, and I used a certain foundation that will be reviewed super soon. (let the cat out of the bag) My shirt was Forever 21, Spring/Summer collection, my shorts TopShop, I love these shorts so so so much. I bought them when Zoella showed them in a haul {Check Links Page to Find Zoella}. I bought these shorts in black, they have a small draw string and are totally comfortable, these shorts are where fashion meets function. While in Philadelphia I found a really cool woodsy area (Picture Lower Right) and it was so beautiful! It was actually pretty chilly, which made it feel like fall. I will now forever think of Philadelphia as a cool Fall getaway. Soon to come a Back to School Haul! Get Excited!

July Favorites LATE

July 2013 The Slamming 6

sorta late but here it is!

6.Extracts Vanilla Body Wash-
This is so amazing I love this product sooo so so much!! It makes me smell so good and it smells like just vanilla! Great for baths and for just body wash. I get mine at Target, it is sold in Boots in the U.K. also, and is super cheep! I love this product!!

5.No7 Energizing Face Mask-
Another Target product from Boots, this mask does NOT damage your face unlinke many others. It makes your skin super soft however is a little pricy I bought mine for $17 and it is not a lot of product but still amazing none the less!

4.Maybelline FIT shine-free Foundation-
This is a Matte foundation which is super difficult to find in drug store makeup however finally it is invented! I really liked this product for a summer foundation, it has a semi-light coverage and it surprisingly easy to blend (shocker). Unlike most of my liquid foundations this does not leave me feeling oily at the end of a hot summer day. This is found moderately cheap at any drug store.

3.Simple Revitalizing Roll-On-
Whether you have tired eyes, or dark circles, allergy eye, or anything in the middle this product is amaaaaaazing. I bought this at a drug store on vacation, only to come back and see everyone raving about it. Rolls on cold making my eyes instantly feel awesome and of course keeps them refreshed all day. You can buy this at any drug store, or grocery store.

2.NP Set Day to Night Palette-
Did not think I would like a drug store palette this much but i did. It has some awesome bases and some really cool transitioning colors to go day to night, preppy to edgy, school to party, I could go on and on hehe. I bought mine at Target (guess a lot of these products are from there huh) It is relatively cheep enjoy!

1.MAC Mtythology-
I actually have been using this as a base rather than a regular color, the shimmer adds a cool look it is a neat summer color. $15 at MAC or $10 at Cosmetic Company.

I tried to keep this first favorites somewhat cheap and short, I hope you enjoyed!

146 Miss Coquelicot from the 'Rogue in Love' collection. I bought this on shopping trip with some friends and I will never regret it! It is absolutely amazing!!! It taste so good, the color stays on so amazingly well too! This is my Fav lipstick ever by far. Although it is only a small amount of product it IS after all Lancome Paris and as Paris is know for 'Quality over Quantity'.
